Loin des automatismes du num\u00e9rique, il choisit la lenteur, le geste, la mati\u00e8re. Pour lui, photographier, c\u2019est \u00e9crire avec la lumi\u00e8re, mais aussi dialoguer avec les sels d\u2019argent, le papier, les bains chimiques \u2014 dans une approche quasi alchimique.<\/p><p data-start=\"590\" data-end=\"1005\">Form\u00e9 aux techniques classiques du laboratoire, il s\u2019en est \u00e9mancip\u00e9 pour d\u00e9velopper ses propres proc\u00e9d\u00e9s : r\u00e9v\u00e9lateurs \u00ab\u00a0faits maison\u00a0\u00bb, papiers insolites, virages toniques, solarisations, st\u00e9nop\u00e9s modifi\u00e9s, et autres exp\u00e9rimentations o\u00f9 chaque tirage devient une \u0153uvre unique. Son laboratoire, install\u00e9 \u00e0 son domicile, est un th\u00e9\u00e2tre d\u2019ombres et de transparences o\u00f9 le temps suspend son cours.<\/p><p data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1445\">Revendiquant une d\u00e9marche artistique \u00e0 contre-courant, Jacques Revon interroge notre rapport \u00e0 l\u2019image. Il photographie souvent le paysage, le v\u00e9g\u00e9tal ou la trace humaine dans l\u2019espace, mais son v\u00e9ritable sujet est la transformation : celle de la lumi\u00e8re qui devient mati\u00e8re, du r\u00e9el qui devient empreinte.
